Central California Connections Academy to Host Free Information Session in Visalia

Enrollment for Central California Connections Academy (CA) is approaching for the 2011-12 school year. CenCA is a tuition-free virtual K-12 public school chartered through the Alpaugh Unified School District serving families throughout Central California who reside in Fresno, Inyo, Kern, Kings and Tulare counties. Free hands-on parent information sessions are currently being held in Visilia for families to learn more about this unique educational opportunity for their children.

At Connections Academy, students benefit from personalized attention, integrated technology, a flexible schedule and a challenging public school curriculum tailored to individual needs and abilities. California certified teachers direct the learning – they assemble lesson plans and deliver live lessons over the Internet while parents serve as Learning Coaches and monitor progress in the home on a day to day basis. Since Connections Academy is a public school, there is no tuition fee to attend.

The information sessions will give families an opportunity to meet Connections Academy teachers, talk with parents of students who are currently enrolled in the program, observe a presentation of CA’s online technologies and view CA’s print-rich curriculum.
