Far Horizons is a haven inspired by Theosophy for those seeking rejuvenation for the body and soul. It is located midway between Los Angeles and San Francisco (about 5.5 hours from each) deep in the Sierra mountains east of Fresno, CA in the Sequoia National Monument.
Far Horizons is a nonprofit educational organization with a maximum occupancy of 50 people. We offer varied pathways to personal and spiritual growth through programs on the ageless wisdom, nature, healing, and spirituality. Far Horizons members receive a 10% discount on their lodging fees.
Far Horizons and Theosophy: Founded in 1954 by G.V. and Mary Hull, the camp was created as a practical experiment in applying theosophical principles to daily life. The Theosophical Society is a worldwide organization founded in 1875 and dedicated to better understanding our place in the universe as well as the purpose and meaning in our lives. A central premise of Theosophy (also called the ageless wisdom) is that we are all one. Respect for every religious tradition is a prominent theosophical principle. Membership in the Theosophical Society, or in the camp itself, is not required.
The Far Horizons Mission: to foster an experience of awareness and aliveness for all.
