Le Bistro

The following is a letter we received and are posting with permission. Pete McCracken, Chef/Owner

I am writing to let people know "Le Bistro" owned and operated by Mr. Pete McCracken, is the best place in town to go to dine.

The food is wonderful and very pleasant to look at. The service ia quite congenial. The atmosphere is wonderful, you can actually hear your dinner partner. The music is so soft. I was so uptight when we got there and completely relaxed when we left.

Le Bistro might look a little intimidating but looks are deceiving. In fact, the decor is in very good taste. It gives the feeling of dining at the "Ritz", with a Porterville pocketbook.

You're truly missing out by not at least trying it. My husband and I are certainly going back to Le Bistro. The people of Porterville don't know a good thing when they have it!!!

I know that it is easy to miss. It is next to Tantrums Boutique, across the street from U.C.B. Bank on Putnam and Main St.

Take a few minutes out of your busy schedule to ENJOY dining. We did, at my daughter's request, and I'm so glad we did.

Superb cuisine. Flavors that will surprise and excite even the most experienced palate. Le Bistro was my 11 year old daughter’s first choice for her birthday dinner. When asked what he wanted for dessert, my 7 year old son said, “More chicken!” The Chicken Paillard is my new favorite. The Strawberry Souffle was light with a delicate crust, and was bursting with fresh strawberry flavor.
