Sammy is an advocate of Fresno and all it has to offer. Comic Canvas No 3 Show represents the modern icons that have influenced Sammy G Art. The bandanas symbolize the power character license has over the art world: fan art is copyright infringement which inhibits free speech, however parody and satire are protected. Sammy has always been drawn to the creative process involved in producing art. He usually finds the process more intriguing than the finished project. Although Sammy focuses on oil painting, he also illustrates, draws, and enjoys graphic design. Lately, he has found inspiration in street art, particularly in stencil work.
Sammy only recently started his art career and feels his true talent belongs to the art world and hopes to find a lifetime of success doing what he loves. Currently he instructs drawing at the California Arts Academy, Fresno. Sammy finds inspiration everywhere, and desires to inspire those around him, whether directly through the creative process or not, he desires to inspire.
